After the overwhelming success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, shipping over 10 million copies, the idea of a fourth game to the series would be an excellent business opportunity. However, CD Projekt Red is moving on to Cyberpunk 2077 after it releases the final DLC for The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine, which will be releasing later this month.
On the other hand, once Cyberpunk 2077 is released, will CD Projekt Red return to the Witcher series? Witcher 3 game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz surely hopes so: “Personally, I hope that someday in the future we will do something more because I love the setting and I work on The Witcher games around 12 years right now,” he told Eurogamer. “But I don’t know what we will decide. The strategy plan they’ve got they will share with us soon. We’ll see.”
Although, the possibility of a new Witcher game being released anytime soon, fans can remain hopeful. Furthermore, for anyone who hasn’t gone out and played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, I would strongly urge you pick it up as soon as possible, you won’t regret it
